Cruel Fuel is a first-person shooter developed in Unity by Florida Man Games, which was composed of nine people. During the development of this project I was tasked with designing and whiteboxing the mecha hangar, factory, and research levels. I was also responsible for importing and implementing a large amount of the assets, cluttering the level spaces, and designing and creating the lighting for each level space. Each level in this game was designed with different intentions. The research area was designed as a space where the player could get used to combat and thus its a more dense area where movement is hampered, the factory is next in the progression and gives the player more space to explore their movement as well as an increased amount of enemies to challenge them, the hangar is easily the most wide open space that was designed more for the final boss fight in which you pilot a mecha larger than the player.
